Enjoying a light dinner at the SilverKris Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport before a recent flight. The porridge was very nice.

Tiger Airways Singapore to Hong Kong Flight Review, Tsui Wah Breakfast plus HKIA #Tigerair
We flew to Hong Kong and back recently on Tiger Airways, budget carrier owned by Singapore Airlines. Based in Singapore, TigerAir operates a fleet of 25 aircraft (Airbus A320) to almost 40 destinations.
This is the first time we are flying with Tigerair.
Overall, the flight for 4 pax (2 adults and 2 kids) cost us SGD $530 in total including taxes, return. This is about USD 375 or US93.75 per person. The flight from SIN to HKG takes almost 4 hours and the return leg about 3.5 hours.
Our departure was early morning, 0605hrs.
In this video, I show you snippets of Singapore Changi Airport that morning.
Check-in counter at Terminal 2, Singapore Changi Airport. Common check-in for all Tiger Air flights.
This is in the restricted area, after immigration. The time was around 5am. Many stores were still closed, though most of the eateries were opened. This is Singapore Changi Terminal 2. Well, we don't have a 24 by 7 airport, unlike Dubai.
Beautiful floral display at Singapore Changi. Early morning, but still many tourists taking photos.
In the line to board the plane. This was taken while waiting in line on the aerobridge.
On board the aircraft, at my seat which was an aisle seat. Aircraft was a single aisle Airbus A320. This is a Budget carrier.
Cockpit door was not yet closed. Passengers were still boarding. I could see the cockpit crew doing preparatory work for this flight.
This video shows you the flight itself. Pretty smooth. We ate breakfast before boarding the aircraft, so we did not purchase any food while on board. We ate some breakfast before the flight. After landing at HKIA, we also we had some food before making our way into town.
This video shows you some footage post arrival at HK International. We were at a satellite terminal and we had to take an airport bus to the main terminal. It was a very bright and sunny day. HK was going to be hot!
Some pictures of airplanes upon arrival at HKIA. This was the Airbus A320 that flew us to Hong Kong. The livery is neat.
HKexpress.com. I've not tried this Airline before.
Before taking the airport bus A21 to Tsim Sha Tsui, we had breakfast at an eatery called Tsui Wah, at the public departure area of Terminal 1 HKIA.
They do breakfast sets. Easy to order, easy to eat. The kids loved it.
Hot milk tea in Hong Kong is a standard drink.
Here is a video of the walk to Tsui Wah and what we had for breakfast, after landing at HKIA.
This was taken from the Airport bus at the satellite terminal. Yes, we had to take an airport bus from the satellite terminal to the main terminal. Check out my video for the bus ride.
After arrival at HKG, we had some food at an airport eatery called Tsui Wah. Once our stomachs were filled, it was time to head into Hong Kong. We took Citybus A21 to Tsim Sha Tsui area, where our hotel would be.

Fat Man's Belly Almost Hitting Tray Table on Aircraft
Fat Man
This guy was so fat, his tummy nearly reached the tray table in front of him. There was no way he could open the tray table and have a meal.
Maybe I am from a different culture but I was quite stunned when I saw the passenger next to me, for this short-haul flight in Europe.
Perhaps there is a very good reason why he is so fat, I do not know. However, I think it is quite a reminder of how we all ought to take care of ourselves and watch our weight.
I apologize in advance to all fat people who may be offended by this post. I mean no offence. Peace.
This was during meal time. As the tray table could not be used, the middle seat's tray table had to be used. This worked out just fine.
I guess flying in Economy would not be very possible for this person.

Austrian Arrow Flight OS 348 Helsinki to Vienna 2010
Updated (6 Oct 2013)-
This is a 13 minute video, showing taxi-ing, take-off and landing. Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_hxQwmTTec
This was a flight in early 2010, winter time in the Northern Hemisphere. Now, I come from Singapore - a small, sunny, tropical island, one degree north of the Equator. We can wear T-shirts and Bermudas all year round. This was quite an experience!
The flight was on Austrian Arrow, from Helsinki (Finland) to Vienna (Austria). It was a cold, cold morning. Very exotic experience.
Here is the boarding pass.
A good number of flights out of Helsinki that morning, to the various European cities.
It snowed overnight. We naively thought that we had an arrow bridge.
No bridge. We were bussed to the plane, and had to board the plane in the snow!
It was a Fokker 70 Aircraft.
Managed to grab a few shots as it snowed.
Nice angle. Those jets look small. But the plane wasn't too big.
In the plane, a window seat, looking out.
It sure looked very cold. Actually, it was freezing.
Glad I'm onboard.
Austrian Arrows Fokker 70 Aircraft. Neither Boeing nor Airbus.
Still very cold. Were we ever going to depart?
Hold on, what's that?
Oh, they had to de-ice the wing! Green fluid being sprayed, lots of.
Alright, finally we are taxi-ing.
You can just make out the words 'Helsinki Vantaa'.
Breakfast on board. Not bad, for such a short flight. The bread was served warm. Very nice.
I ate it all!
Pilot reported that it snowed overnight in Vienna too. Look at that view!
Eerie, yet so beautiful. Something we never get to see, coming from sunny and tropical Singapore.
We had landed, and this was the bus we had to take to the terminal. Again, no bridge.
But that gave us good opportunity to take a few photos!
Wonderful photos for keeps.
Don't worry, the bus didn't leave without me.
It was a most interesting experience! (Though I didn't miss the cold)

AirAsia Flight to Bangkok, June 2013
Here are some pictures from the first time we ever flew with AirAsia. This was in June 2013, when we took a short holiday to Bangkok.
Changi Airport, Terminal 1.
Check in counter.
No crowds when we checked in. This was rather unusual and even the check-in staff told us so. Be prepared for long lines at Changi for AirAsia. This low cost airline is doing very, very well!
Terminal 1. Recently revamped.
Terminal 1 departures.
Flights to Bangkok were operated by Thai Air Asia. Same brand, but they have different companies.
| Black leather seats. |

Plane in the air.
Arrival at Don Muang.
See, all the AirAsia Flights. Almost felt like Don Muang was an Air Asia Airport. (AAA)
Flight back from Bangkok to Singapore - Thai Air Asia uses Don Muang Airport, which is the old international airport. We had to bus to the plane. It was a very interesting experience, though I wonder what the situation would be like if it were raining!
What was everybody looking at? Well, there was a plane on the runway, about to takeoff.
The livery is upbeat. Check out the guy in red under the plane. It almost looks like he was trying to help hold up the airplane!!
Onboard, here was the menu, in Thai Baht. The food is not expensive, for plane-food. Actually, compared to FlyScoot, the food here is cheap!
The Nasi Lemak tasted very decent.
I enjoyed it!
The flight from BKK back to Singapore was 2.5 hours. Enough time for a nap.
Approaching Singapore, but this bridge isn't Singapore.
Safe travels everybody!
