Main Dining Room - Day 11, ship had sailed from Olden, Norway. The ship sailed at 3pm. The inspiration for the menu was Shiitake. Mushrooms, yeah.
When I was young, I was told never to eat mushrooms growing by the roadside. Some mushrooms are very poisonous! Alright, Shiitakes are fine. I'm still alive.
Spinach dip. This is something we never eat back in Singapore. So it was worth a try.
Seafood salad.
Refreshing. Quite a lot of seafood too!
And the mains. What a load of mashed potato. Worse, they tasted to good! Yeah, while I try to avoid carbs, sometimes the carbs become irresistible.
This was a shrimp gyoza. Frankly, this dish is good to share, but not so good as a single dish for dinner. Four pieces, one for each adult. Yummy! (The fun part about cruising with the family is that we can eat Asian-style too)
Curry, Indian-inspired. We ordered the curry almost every evening. In particular, my mother liked it. Overall, the quality was good.
The fish.
I think this was the pork.
And the lamb chops.
Now, we move to the desserts.
This should be the low-fat panna cotta.
The sugar free option.
Now, isn't this mould very familiar?
The strawberry kiwi something. Hah.
Warm chocolate cake. Absolutely fantastic.
Dinner was good. Thanks for reading!

Adventure of the Seas Day 11 - MDR - Olden, Norway
Adventure of the Seas Stavanger Day 12 - MDR
Main Dining Room - Day 12, Stavanger.
Tonight was the Jasmine menu. Jasmine rice? I had read on the cruise critic boards that Jasmine night was supposedly the Lobster night? Well, we didn't get any lobster tonight. Either I read wrongly, or they changed the menus!
In fact, we didn't get any lobster in the MDR throughout this cruise. Disappointment.
The seafood salad.
Another angle.
Mushroom puff - Creamed Wild Mushrooms.
The beef. Carved Roasted Beef Prime Rib.
Yorkshire pudding plus the baked potato. For us, on a cruise, this is way too much carbo. So we usually avoid eating the carbs. The meat was good!
Pan-fried Giant Prawn. Good.
Another angle of the Prawns.
Duck Leg Confit.
Here was the dessert menu.
Grand Mariner Souffle
What cake was this? The layers are nice. I think this was the low fat angel food cake.
The Baked Alaska. Just a pot full of ice cream! The kids loved it. They each had one Yikes!
Can't remember what this was.
Nice! I think this was really yummy.
Some pictures of the dining room. The Captain was hosting dinner.
Oh, the gents. This was outside the Windjammer. No more loo with a view, unlike the Voyager of the Seas.
Thanks for reading!

Adventure of the Seas Iceland & Norway Cruise Day 1 - Main Dining Room Dinner
Adventure of the Seas
Main Dining Room - Day 1 Dinner
This was the first time we were trying out the new menus on Royal. I know that these menus have been introduced fleet-wide for some time now, but our last Royal Caribbean cruise was in March 2013 on the Legend of the Seas.
The theme this evening was Mojo!
Caribbean inspired.
The starters and main courses here.
Every night, there is a chef's inspiration.
This was the smoked fish rillette. Very tasty.
The smoked fish rillette before I tucked in.
A short video of the Smoked Fish Rillette
The soup - aromatic asian coconut seafood soup. Very tasty too!
Escargots were available every night now. Wonderful.
Coming to the mains, this was the beef - Carved Roasted Beef Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding. My kids asked - "what is Yorkshire Pudding?" Quite funny.
The Asparagus, Peas, Crab spaghetti. Very good too.
A slightly closer look.
Short video of the seafood spaghetti
This must be the Crusted fillet of Atlantic Salmon.
Portions are of a very good size. Needless to say, we ate too much during this cruise (and every cruise).
Desserts - we love desserts and we found the desserts on the Celebrity Silhouette cruise not to our liking. So we were happy to be back on Royal!
Ice-cream. My kids have it every night. I understand the ice-cream comes directly from the USA. Good stuff! Be warned, highly addictive. (just ask the kids)
This was the blueberry peach crumble.
The Chocolate Sensation - this was available every night.
Sugar free dessert, something that Royal is very good at.
A very satisfying Day 1 meal. Thanks for reading.
