Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant Park Royal (Beach Road)

Attended a wedding dinner held at the Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant Park Royal recently.  The restaurant was located in Hotel Park Royal, along Beach Road.  We arrived there and found that there were quite a number of conference rooms and venues.  Got lost a bit before finding our way to the correct restaurant.

This is the hotel website.

This was the menu for the evening.

Before dinner started, this chap called the tea master demonstrated some moves on stage.  Rather unique. Unfortunately he dropped his tea pot but recovered quickly.

The opening dish - Dou Hua Combination platter.

This was my share of the food.

This was the Shark's Fin soup.  Didn't taste very good.

The prawns, or whatever was left of it.  Quite good.

Braised Spinach bean curd with mushrooms and garlic.  This dish was my favourite.

A closer look at the beancurd.  You could see the spinach.

This was the rice.

Called the Eight Treasures Fried Rice.

The dessert.  Red Bean cream with Lotus Seed, Dried Lily Buds and Glutinous Rice Dumpling.

Pretty good!

Overall, this was definitely one of the better wedding dinners I have tasted in recent times.   Thanks for reading!
